Now, on to more important things:
WHY POSTING THE WOD EVERY DAY DOES NOT MATTER:
I've been fielding quite a few complaints lately about the website. Most of you are asking why the wod is never posted, or why it's posted after the day is complete, or something else of that nature. Well, I'll tell you. Because it doesn't matter.
1. Your job, as a Synapster, is to show up and do what's written on the whiteboard. Your warmup, your mobility, your skill or lift, and your workout. Most of the time, your WOD is not the most important part of your workout. For the majority of you, it's your mobility, and for the rest of you, it's your skill and/or lift. While your WOD serves a purpose, it is not the only reason you come to Synapse. So, less emphasis on the WOD, more emphasis on the entire class. You all have weaknesses, and your mobility and skills/lifts are great ways to target those weaknesses. Stop worrying about the WOD, and talking about it with your new best friend, and get to work on the other 75% of what's on the whiteboard.
2. You should be prepared for anything. If a coach tells you to run around the block with a medball, you should be ready for that. If a coach tells you to do 10 burpees, you should be ready for that. No matter what, you should be ready. We specialize in GENERAL PREPAREDNESS. For ANYTHING. From the zombie apocolypse to moving apartments. Also, that's the FUN part. You should love not knowing what you're getting yourself into each day. A surprise, a present for you each day. Suck it up and stop complaining. You know this shit is fun. Stop running through the WOD in your head when it's posted. That's cheating. You are a Synapster, which means, no matter WHAT is on that board, YOU are ready and capable of doing it.
3. Trust your coaches. We know what we're doing. We've thought about what you should be doing, and we will make sure you are safe, doing awesome shit all the time, having fun, and progressing at a good rate. Seriously. Trust the whiteboard. Do what's on the whiteboard. It will take you to amazing places. Stop freaking out when the WOD is not posted. You'll be alright. Trust us.
